christmas is literally just a few more days away…

and over the long weekend, Ooi finally set up the Christmas tree at home…and lil Dylan was super excited while we were putting up the tree and hanging the decorations…

he even posed for us when we wanted to take a picture of him and the tree …

many at times, when i read other mummy’s blog, i cannot help but feel a twinge of guilt..

most mummies are so disciplined in how they raise their kids…

while i try my best, there are so many times, i just give into what my son wants…

for instance, this….

my son’s munching away mummy’s current favourite green tea cake from RT Pastry…

*sigh* so young, and i am already letting him munch away watever he wants ..haha..dunno to laff or to cry now ^_^

the year 2009 is fast coming to an end…with all the sales and christmas coming, i’ve been spending most of my weekends at malls all over KL!! hahaha

just this weekend itself, i was at  pavillion (God, i love to shop in this mall so much!!) with my sister and my baby boy…Dylan enjoyed the decorations there so much…he stood in front of the Christmas deco, posing for us for half an hour..haha…i think Dylan loves Pavillion as much as his mummy :)

on sunday, we ventured over to One Utama…there were so many people…Dylan wanted to go on almost every kiddy car ride tat we walked by..sigh..it was also the first time, i realised that One-U has that many kiddy car rides..its almost there was one kiddy car ride at every pillar!! Look at how happy he is…i finished all my coins to finance his kiddy-car-ride fetish on tat day..

i noticed that as Dylan is getting bigger, he no longer wants to be confined to his stroller…whenever we bring him out, he either wants to walk on his own…or wants his mummy, ME, to carry him..it is not easy lugging a 10+ kg baby around the mall…i always end up feeling exhausted when we leave :( the things we do for our kid…haha…well, as long as he is happy, mummy is glad to oblige then ;)

dylan loves animals..he always gets so excited whenever he sees an animal, be it a bird, cat, fish or even a rat! yes..even a rat…cos once when we were outside, we saw a rat running across the road and he began to point excitedly at the rat *slap hand on forehead*

everyone in the family knows how much he loves animals…so when my sister’s boyfren’s family got a new toy maltese dog, she couldn’t wait to bring it to dylan…

see how happy dylan was? he even wanted to shake the legs of the mini dog…i tell u, i think the dog was more afraid of dylan than the other way round..whereas this dylan ah..cannot sense at all that animals (even though not this mini dog) can be a potential harm to him…hai…u can see how much more sociable he is to animals than to human beings…aiks… :)

Dylan is a very fortunate baby… this year alone, he’s been to Brunei twice, Singapore, Genting, and just a few days ago, he has been to Port Dickson and Malacca…

we stayed the Legends Water Chalet when we were in PD…though most the furnishings were slightly old, but overall, the ambience was just nice…dylan was busy running in and out of the room and enjoying the scenery that we had…he especially loved swimming in the kiddy pool :)

swimming

we headed toMalacca on the following day and stayed at the Equatorial Hotel..we spent the day like tourists…visiting Jonka Walk, the St.Paul’s Church and enjoying Malaccan food…Dylan had his first try at the famous Malacca Chicken Ball rice…u can tell he loved it :) the rice was shaped just for his perfect little hands to hold and eat…

yumyum

It is now much easier compared to travel with Dylan as compared to earlier when he was younger…previously, we had to lug with us his bottle strelisers, milk warmer, pre-prepared food or cereals and all..now, we just bring his milk powder and diapers and stroller and off we go..to whereever our holiday destination is :)

i must admit, it is indeed rewarding and heart-lifting when you see your child enjoying themselves during these holiday get-aways…Ooi and i are now planning for our next holiday trip…and with yesterday’s AirAsia sale, we already got tickets to go to Bangkok next year!! yay!! Dylan is indeed a lucky boy :)

when i found out i was pregnant, i don’t know why..but i always kinda knew it would be a boy…call it a preliminary mother’s intuition if u wan, but i just somehow knew i would have a boy.. i remembered tat when both ooi and i were out window shopping, i never really felt excited about how cute baby girly dresses would be…instead, i would be attracted to boys’ clothing and toys like robots, cars, planes and all..

now tat my first child is a boy, people around me are always telling me to get a baby girl next (as if i could really choose)…so i tot…if i had a baby gal, wat would she look like…my baby boy gave me a rough idea just yesterday…

so…now u all have it…my baby ‘gal’ :)

last weekend, ooi and i brought our lil one to genting for the very first time…we headed up on sunday and stayed for a night…we managed to get a good deal staying at the theme park hotel..even though the hotel is relatively old, but the room was quite well maintained…dylan ran around the room the minute we checked in…

we had so much fun at gentinng!! dylan was surprisingly quite easy to handle with the occassional oopssss …but otherwise, he was a good boy..we even brought him to one of the shows and he just sat quietly watching the show…i m so proud of my baby boy….i really can’t wait to go on another holiday again… :)
